"Stop me and buy one" is a limited edition lino-print by Margaret Mallows.
This lovely old ice cream van is one she's seen a couple of times at Ely in Cambridgeshire, and I've given it a seaside background. The van is an Asquith vehicle.
This is not a print made digitally and printed by machine; this 11 colour lino reduction print has all been hand made - drawn, lino carved and printed by hand, so there are minor variations making each and every print unique. Gold metallic ink was used for the radiator grill.
One piece of lino was used throughout, with colours added and more lino cut away each time. Printed with water based light fast ink on 300 gsm Somerset satin acid free paper. Signed and numbered on the front in pencil. Backed by card and protected with a cello wrap within a strong postal box.
Limited edition of only 20 prints signed by the artist.
