
This iconic former electricity and steam powered corn mill was constructed in 1848 by Earl Fitzwilliam. In 1856 it was taken over by Michael Cadge and Samuel Colman (Cadge & Colman). It was taken over by Whitworth Brothers in 1936. The mill ceased work in 1987.
